A BILL to extend the time for the governing body of the City of
Sistersville, in Tyler County, West Virginia, to meet as a
levying body for the purpose of presenting to the voters of
said municipality an election to consider an excess levy for
a library, streets, parks and pool, emergency squad and fire
department, from the third Tuesday of April until the third
Tuesday in May, one thousand nine hundred ninety-three.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF SISTERSVILLE, MEETING AS LEVYING
BODY EXTENDED TO CONSIDER AN EXCESS LEVY.
§1. Extending time for governing body of the City of
Sistersville to meet as levying body for election to
consider an excess levy.
Notwithstanding the provisions of article eight, chapter
eleven of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred
thirty-one, as amended, to the contrary, the governing body of
the City of Sistersville, in Tyler County, West Virginia, is
hereby authorized to extend the time for its meeting as a levyingbody, setting the levy rate and certifying its actions to the
state tax commissioner from the third Tuesday in April until the
third Tuesday in May, one thousand nine hundred ninety-three, for
the purpose of submitting to the voters of the City of
Sistersville the consideration of an excess levy for a library,
streets, parks and pool, emergency squad and fire department.
